Eligibility

Minimum Criteria to be a Nurse at UK

• Registered Nurse. Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Current nursing license
• 12 months experience as a Nurse at a registered hospital in India.
• English language proficiency. Successfully passed IELTS* or OET*. IELTS with a minimum score of 7 in reading, speaking and listening and 6.5 in writing or OET with minimum grade of B in reading, speaking and listening and C+ in writing
• Pass the Computer Based Test (CBT)** to prove your knowledge and skills in nursing.

*The IELTS test is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment. The NMC accepts this test to meet the standard of its English language requirement to work in the UK.

*Occupational English Test (OET) is an international English language test that assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who seek to register and practise in an English-speaking environment. The NMC accepts this test to meet the standard of its English language requirement to work in the UK.

** Computer Based Test (CBT) is a test of the Nurses theoretical practice-based nursing knowledge. This multiple-choice test and can be taken at test centres anywhere in India. Training material for the CBT will be provided us.
